Charles “Charlie” Pringle
Vice President - Tax
Charlie Pringle joined Citation in 2022. Prior to joining Citation, Charlie served in the position of Vice President Tax at CenterPoint Energy where he lead the tax department and responsibilities included financial statement reporting, federal and state income tax compliance, tax planning, providing tax advice on strategic transactions, regulatory reporting and rate case support, tax controversy services, sales taxes, and property taxes. He started his career and spent 11 years in public accounting in the Federal Tax Practice at KPMG while becoming a Senior Tax Manager with clients primarily in the energy industry. Charlie worked as a Tax Manager at Battalion Oil Corporation from 2013 to 2015 as he managed all income tax processes for the company and provided tax technical advice, in particular, as it relates to ASC 740 accounting for income taxes, transactions and tax planning strategies. He started as Director of Income Tax at CenterPoint in 2015 and was promoted to Vice President Tax in 2019. Charlie received his Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting with Honors and a Master of Science in Accounting, both from Texas A&M University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas.
