Zach Kimball
Vice President - Finance and Strategic Planning
Zach Kimball joined Citation in 2023, bringing with him more than 17 years of diverse upstream energy experience. Prior to joining the company, Zach was a strategy consultant in the oil and gas practice at McKinsey & Company from 2018, consulting top management and world governments across the energy value chain. From 2012 to 2018, Zach worked at Marathon Oil Company where he worked in Wyoming prior to being promoted to an operations engineer role working in Equatorial Guinea, Africa, and then served as a Commercial Analyst in the Corporate Business Development group. He began his professional career in Colorado and Wyoming as an environmental consultant and then a frac’ stimulation engineer for Halliburton. Zach has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, with a Minor in Public Affairs from the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado, an Executive MBA from the IE Business School in Madrid, Spain, and is a licensed professional petroleum engineer.
