Description
The Senior Network Administrator I is responsible for managing and supporting the company’s IT and OT networks across multiple sites. This includes configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining servers, backups, security, patching, server applications, and infrastructure in both IT and OT environments. The role also focuses monitoring security dashboards, managing IT projects and performing other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and maintain servers, infrastructure, backups, security, patching, applications, and connectivity for IT environments.
- Troubleshoot network, server, application, and endpoint issues in both IT environments.
- Monitor security dashboards, respond to security alerts, and communicate status of our security posture to supervisor.
- Perform security related risk assessments of IT and OT environments and implement appropriate safeguards, including making recommendations on improving security policies and controls.
- Review penetration testing reports, prepare and execute action plan to address deficiencies.
- Configure networking equipment like routers, switches, and firewalls as needed.
- Assist with managing the company’s Microsoft cloud environment.
- Manage IT/OT convergence and integration projects.
- Track assets, licenses, warranties of IT hardware and software.
- Liaise with vendors, contractors, and other IT groups as needed.
- Develop and document IT policies, standards, and procedures.
- Create and maintain IT/OT network layout and procedural documentation.
- Cross-training with department teammates.
- Problems faced are difficult, often complex, and may require travel to remote business sites.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2-year college degree required; 4-year college degree preferred.
- 5+ years of combined hands-on IT and security experience
- Working knowledge and experience with common IT protocols, hardware, and software.
- Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Windows Sever, Active Directory, PowerShell, VMware, SCADA/ICS systems.
- Working knowledge of IT network security standards and best practices.
- Project management skills.
- Ability to research and resolve unfamiliar network and server related issues.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
- OT infrastructure experience is a plus.
