Description
• Obtain, organize, QA/QC, and input data into various computer software applications (PHDWin, OFM, Petra) to provide technical support and assistance to engineers and geologists with project building, tracking, surveillance, and management of conventional waterflood and unconventional oil & gas properties.
• Maintain and QA/QC production/injection data to be entered into databases.
• Provide production forecasting using production decline curves.
• Provide support to exploration and development by accessing outside information sources.
• Assist in preparing scoping economics for capital projects.
• Assist engineers by providing technical support required to perform detailed field studies of company assets.
• Responsible for purchasing technical information including logs, scout information, production data, governmental regulatory data, article searches, locating analog published field data and studies, and building projects in computer software.
• Digitize and edit log data and build base maps for use by technical professionals in performing petrophysical, geological and reservoir engineering studies.
Qualifications
Prefer minimum 5 years engineering technician experience in the oil and gas industry. Familiar with production & injection diagnostics (i.e. Rate vs Time, Hall Plot, Oil Cut vs Cum Oil, etc.). Experience in the use of OFM, Petra, MicroSoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint, IHS & Enverus databases, PHDWin, and Spotfire/Tableau software programs preferred.
High School Graduate (additional college level training with degree in computer science a plus). Advanced math skills preferred and computer literacy required.
