Responsible for the preparation of sales and use tax returns, vendor reviews, sales and use tax exemption certificates, and audit support. Preparation and upload of sales and use tax self-assessments, audit results and refund claims. Assist in maintaining tax calendars. Processing various tax returns for electronic filing, maintaining electronic files and folders, scanning source documents, and preparing envelopes and certified mail, when required. May work under the supervision of a Senior or Lead Tax Accountant. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum four years of office, bookkeeping, or minor accounting experience required. With BBA in Accounting or comparable degree, no experience required, but one to two year’s experience preferred. Requires intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Access. Experience in state sales and use tax greatly preferred, especially experience in Texas.
High school diploma required, college degree preferred.
