Responsibilities
Responsible for the preparation of sales and use tax returns, vendor reviews, sales and use tax exemption certificates, and audit support. Preparation and upload of sales and use tax self-assessments, audit results and refund claims. Assist in maintaining tax calendars. Processing various tax returns for electronic filing, maintaining electronic files and folders, scanning source documents, and preparing envelopes and certified mail, when required. May work under the supervision of a Senior or Lead Tax Accountant. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum five years of office, bookkeeping, or minor accounting experience required. Experience in state sales and use tax in the oil & gas industry greatly preferred, especially experience in Texas. Requires intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Access.
High school diploma required, college degree preferred.
