  <description>This positions reviews production and lease operating expenses monthly and discusses with engineers and field personnel. Prepares yearly production and lease operating expense reviews. Analyses production properties for profitability and recommends operations for improvement. Conducts all operations in a safe manner and in compliance with all applicable rules and regulations of the regulatory agencies. Supervises third party services when necessary to use. Supervises the activities of the Eningeers and Workover Foremen. Trains newly hired Production Engineers. Identifies recompletion potential in existing wells. Reviews production performance with Engineers and Production Foremen. Reviews proposals from Engineers and makes recommendations to Region Manager. Designs production equipment, installations, and facilities. Provides on-site supervision for critical operations.
This position requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of ten (10) years experience in oil field operations, with the majority of that time spent in domestic onshore production operations. Artificial lift, workover, and waterflood experience required. Drilling experience not required but preferred. The successful candidate will have the ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and in an interdisciplinary team environment. Must be an effective communicator. Ability to utilize Word, Excel, Power Point, and engineering design programs. Works closely with team members and other Engineering Departments to manage deadlines for proposal development.

Generate necessary reporting such as FASB 69 reconciliation and EIA 23 annual reports. Perform reserve reconciliation work on a top down basis at year-end and work with the Strategic Planning Group representative responsible for performing detailed project look-back analyses. Maintain the reserves database for the company. Assist the Senior A&amp;amp;D Engineer by performing an annual review of the reserve report to generate a listing of properties to be considered for inclusion in a sales package or auction to streamline the company&amp;rsquo;s property portfolio. Assist with property acquisition efforts as required. Perform other special corporate projects as requested.
